It's my birthday and I'll party if I want to!

Painted my fingernails dark purple to get into the Friday the 13th spirit (I was born on Friday the 13th so Black Fridays for me are always good!). Went out for lunch which was nice, and got a cool card from one of the girls at work.
I successfully cooked dinner for 9 people last weekend (roast lamb cutlets/ roast vegies/gravy/ greens/ tomato & herb lavish bread/ red wine/ cake - from the Cheesecake shop). I had a birthday thing early, which was pretty fun. No presents apart from Mum's, but I'm apparently too old for presents anyway :( I've got a few cards from Dad and Nanna which I still have to open.
I got a set of old fashioned mixing bowls from Mum, (big stoneware ones with a pale purple glaze - looks prettier than they sound!) and a bath pillow. She also sent me a book voucher and a dragonfly pen. I went shopping on the Sunday with Mum, bought up a storm :) Got a copy of 30 seconds to Mars - A Beautiful lie (I had some of the songs via my brother, now I have the whole album), Season 1 of Robin Hood (much medieval goodness), 5 new knitted tops/ jumpers, and two new books. Well I have to think about dinner. I have a whole bunch of work I need to do this weekend, but I'm not doing anything remotely work related tonight :)
