Ah the joy of windows reinstall! Yes that's how I've spent my Australia day weekend, moving furniture, cleaning and redoing my computer. Yes I am a masochist. But is my computer all shiny and purty? You betcha! And to make things doubly fun, I repartitioned my main drive so had to back up all of my content onto my external drive and my secondary drive, both of which are now full to bursting until I move everything back.

Some joys of the process...

• shuffling half a terrabyte of files around by burning discs/ dvds, copying files from one drive to another, looking at 4 years of saved crap and deleting bits - only to realise you probably will need it next week :P
• saving the wrong profile in firefox and losing all my favourites, grrrr.
• Forgetting where the heck I backed up all my custom profiles for every other application to ... I thought they were with the firefox one...
• almost having a heart attack after I couldn't remember where my serial number for photoshop or my viruse scanner was (yes, real, proper licences)!
  
• having to restart my computer at least 13 times, I kid you not! Every time I add something it wants to restart!
• Getting to finally install Office 2007 and play with the new features (I shall be lost for the next 6 months)
• Spending more time trying to remember how to customise things than actually installing them. Man I had hacked the crap out of some of my applications!

Oh and my fridge is doing some funky stuff. It's freezing things o_O My milk is a block of ice, my lettuce has crystallised and now is like a mushy green slurpy *eww*, and biscuits I tried to make last night didn't come out right because the egg didn't mix in properly. I just moved the thermostat so hopefully it was just because it had moved, though it is getting to that age when it could die at any given moment.
